Flow is a Software Factory to build applications for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) in a graphical way. An event and data driven paradigm is used to model Dataflows responding to various events. Flow consists of three domain specific languages (DSL) and is built as an extension for Microsoft Visual Studio 2008.
Flow is strictly hardware and platform independent. Currently a platform and drivers for the ScatterWeb MSB-430H sensor nodes and a C# node simulator are available. Due to its open architecture hardware vendors can provide additional platforms for different sensor nodes.
Flow was created as a part of my diploma thesis and is available under the new BSD license. More details can be found in the thesis (only available in German).
